Influenced by my son, who see's the world i a different light, I have pointed my lens to the moments when people are themselves.  Growing up I constantly battled with being myself for fear that I would not be understood.  After the birth of my son I began to see things differently.  He helped me realize that those moments when people are raw, uncut, and unaware are the most beautiful.

It was in these moments where my creative photography sparked.  Children are so unpredictable and so innocent.  Capturing them on their own terms is what I admire and feel creates the strongest pictures.  Dorothea Lange says it best, "While there is  perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see."

Through my photography I want to "shed some light" on the little things that we take for granted in everyday life.  Knowing that a photo can speak a thousand words, I hope to remind my viewers of what is real, which is real itself, and make it last forever.
